Parties requesting police reports should include their return address in the request. Unfortunately, the EPPD does not specify what information (besides a return address) should be included. However, it is safe to assume that the party making the request should include names, dates, locations, name of officer that took the report, report number (if available), and a copy of his or her identification.

There is a $6.00 fee for accident/crash reports as well as a $1.50 fee for making the request by mail. Requesting parties should include a check or money order payable to The City of El Paso with their request. It can take up to 10 days to get a response from the police department.
